The Foundations of Core Shamanism
Over the course of the one year training, students will learn the foundations of Core Shamanism through direct experience, journeying, ceremony and practical application. You will develop relationships with your Power Animals and Helping Spirits, deepen your understanding of the unseen worlds and learn to be of service to others through specific healing ceremonies and divination.
A central part of the training is learning shamanic healing practices, including Soul Retrieval, Power Animal Retrieval, Soul Remembering and Extraction. We will also explore psychopomp work, learning how to assist spirits who have become lost or disoriented in their transition after death.
Additional online trainings will include a variety of additional teachings.

Learning the Art of Shamanic Healing
This training goes beyond learning healing techniques. It is about developing the understanding, discernment and practical experience needed to work responsibly with the Helping Spirits in service to others. Through ongoing practice, ceremony and experiential learning, you will explore how to facilitate healing, support integration and develop confidence in your work. Your own healing and relationship with the helping spirits remains the foundation of this training, as the path of the practitioner is also one of continued personal exploration and growth.
In shamanic healing work we are not the "healer", but rather the one who co-creates the conditions for the healing to take place. We become the "hollow bone" or "hollow reed" through which the heailng medicine moves from the world of Spirit through to the person. We set aside our ego and personal will, so that our guides may work through us. This requires deep devotion, humility, a willingness to listen and a deep respect for the Helping Spirits and the work they offer.

Training Structure & Attendance
The training will take place over five in-person weekends in Victoria, BC (at a location to be confirmed), running from Friday evening through to Sunday.
In the months between our in-person gatherings, we will meet for one monthly Zoom session of approximately 3 hours. There will be no Zoom session in August.

Dates will be determined with the group to ensure they work for all participants.

Attendance at all Zoom calls and weekend retreats is mandatory. If you miss a Zoom call or retreat, you will be removed from the training.

Healing Case Studies & Practice
Over the course of the year participants will be required to complete 20 healing case studies, with five case studies for each of the four healing practices covered.

Who is this training for?
This training is for those who feel called to the path of shamanic healing and wish to develop the knowledge, skills and relationship with the helping spirits to facilitate healing ceremonies for others.You may feel called to bring this work into your own healing practice, offering shamanic healing to clients through individual sessions and ceremony. Or you may feel drawn to learn these practices for a different reason. Perhaps you wish to deepen your relationship with the helping spirits and unseen realms, bring these healing practices into your own life and healing journey, or develop the ability to support healing within your family and wider community, without necessarily intending to establish a professional practice.There is no requirement to turn this work into a business. What matters is a genuine calling to the work, a willingness to commit to the learning and practice, and a desire to develop a deeper relationship with the helping spirits in service of healing.Whether you feel called to offer this work professionally, carry these practices into your family and community, or deepen your own healing through this work, this training offers a foundation in facilitating shamanic healing ceremonies and walking this path with revernece, integrity and respect.
Application
This is an intimate, small-group training with a maximum of 8-10 participants. An application process is required, and applicants must demonstrate emotional maturity, a willingness to engage in personal work and the ability to participate respectfully and constructively within a group setting. Please note that not all applicants will be accepted into the program. ​​​

Certification
Attendance at all five in-person weekends and scheduled Zoom sessions, along with completion and submission of all required homework and case studies, is necessary to receive a Certificate of Completion.

Post-Training Integration
Included in the training is an optional six-month integration and practice container for students who wish to receive continued guidance and support as they integrate the teachings and begin working with the practices independently.
